I became a doula at a time when I was being pressured the most by family and some friends about having kids.<\/strong> I started as a birth doula, supporting women through pregnancy and childbirth. I have supported well over 100 live and healthy births<\/strong>, and my silent prayer for each baby who has come through my practice is that they land in hands that will always love them, treat them with respect and understanding, and guide them as they grow into adults who will positively impact the world around us. I also understand that it is still an act of love to acknowledge your reality before bringing someone else into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over time, I wanted to understand why women made the choices they did \u2014 about birth, motherhood, and abortion<\/strong>. I never truly understood why my own mother had children, and I sought to better understand my own story by learning from the similarities in others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also spent time working at a crisis pregnancy center<\/strong> (in Nevada while still delivering babies in Los Angeles)<\/em>, which gave me valuable insight into the experiences and challenges women face. What I learned there reinforced that my role is to provide truth, support, and compassionate guidance \u2014 without pressure or judgment<\/strong>, empowering women to make the decision that is right for them. In supporting women during their most significant choices, I also discovered areas in which I needed to support myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My work is guided by two core goals: First, to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space<\/strong> where you can explore your feelings, needs, and options about abortion with clarity. Second, to leave you educated and empowered<\/strong>, with the knowledge and confidence to make choices about your reproductive health that are right for you \u2014 so you never feel like you have to return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Evolving Vision as an Abortion Doula<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My main focus is to support women in making the decision that is right for them<\/strong>. When I stopped allowing others to question my own reproductive choices, it taught me to stop questioning the choices of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My goal is to help women build a stronger society for tomorrow<\/strong>. We all have to live here \u2014 and the choices women make around reproduction, including abortion, shape not only their own futures but the future we all share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People will continue to have abortions every day, no matter what the world thinks or how others feel. What matters most is that it is always the woman\u2019s choice<\/strong>, made from her most empowered place<\/strong>. My goal is for this abortion to be your last abortion (speaking in regards to the non-medically necessary, which is distinct from a medically necessary termination). True empowerment means moving forward knowing that this is a part of your history, not your story.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
